The Painter

Yann Artes was born on October 21st, 1955 at Vitry-le-Francois, France. After spending a few years studying general mechanics, he started his professional life as a draftsman for a building-trade company in France. Then, he became a representative of industry for a sales office. He lives now in Toulouse, France where he decided to start his own business as a salesman, knowing that this activity allows him to practice his favorite past-time : painting.
This approach of painting is absolutely self-taught, having himself never received an artistic education.
The purpose of this site is to share his thoughts and art with
those who appreciate Artes' happiness or "joie de vivre" throughout his paintings.
